Weekly Beauty Edit 💋💄

The Fall Outfits That Deserve a Spot In Your Wardrobe 👖👠

Fall fashion always has a way of making getting dressed feel exciting again. It is my absolute favorite season to dress. With Fashion Week setting the tone for what’s next, the runways are already giving us plenty to talk about...from unexpected proportions and layered silhouettes to the return of pieces that make an outfit feel instantly more chic. But you don’t have to dress head-to-toe runway to tap into the mood. Sometimes it’s as simple as rethinking how you style what you already own.

This season, it’s all about the outfit...how pieces come together, how you play with texture and proportion and those little styling choices that make a look feel distinctly yours. Think less “buy this exact thing” and more inspiration to experiment, remix and have FUN with your wardrobe (which is even easier when you have a set capsule wardrobe in place). I went through my rolodex of fave fall outfits from the past to give some examples for outfit inspo for the upcoming season.

The New Definition of Beauty: Confidence, Health & Presence ✨💋

For a long time, beauty was treated like a finish line: the right face, the right body, the right skin, the right everything. But in 2026, that definition feels increasingly outdated to say the least. We’re living in a moment where AI can manufacture the “perfect” face and body in seconds, while real women are still navigating the very real pressure to measure up. In fact, recent global data found that 42% of women reported experiencing some type of worry the previous day, while 28% reported sadness...a reminder that looking well and feeling well are two very different things.

Maybe the new beauty standard isn’t a standard at all. It’s confidence. It’s having energy because you actually slept, knowing what makes you feel good, taking care of your skin because you enjoy the routine. It’s eating a proper meal, going for the walk, booking the appointment you’ve been putting off, protecting your peace and learning that rest is not something you have to earn. For young women especially, there’s something quietly powerful about taking care of yourself without turning your entire life into a self-improvement project.

And then there’s presence...the part no serum, treatment, filter or algorithm can replicate. The way you carry yourself when you’re comfortable in your own skin. The way you enter a room without immediately wondering how you’re being perceived. Maybe beauty, at its most interesting, is becoming less about being looked at and more about being felt: healthy, grounded, confident, curious, alive.

Perhaps the biggest "glow-up" is realizing you were never supposed to spend your entire life auditioning for approval. Not every meal needs to be “clean,” not every outfit needs to be flattering and not every photo needs to make the cut. There’s a certain freedom in caring about how you look without letting it determine how you feel about yourself.

The Saltair Beauty Finds on Amazon I'm Obsessed With ✨🧴

Saltair has officially entered my “How did I not discover this sooner?” era. It's been awhile since a beauty brand has seriously made me want to buy EVERY product. The body-care line is giving elevated shower shelf, seriously DIVINE smelling scents and that effortless kind of beauty routine that makes even a random Tuesday feel a little more luxe.

Why Women Are Leaving Behind People-Pleasing ✨🙅🏽‍♀️

For years, being a “good woman” came with an unofficial job description: be agreeable, be accommodating, don’t make things uncomfortable and whatever you do, don’t disappoint anyone. We learned to soften our opinions, say "Yes" when we actually meant "No" and call it being nice. But something is shifting. More women are realizing that constantly managing everyone else’s feelings is exhausting...and more importantly, it comes at a price. People-pleasing can look polished from the outside, but underneath it is often a quiet habit of abandoning yourself to keep everyone else comfortable. And eventually, even the nicest girl in the room starts asking a very reasonable question: What about me?

Leaving people-pleasing behind doesn’t mean becoming cold, selfish or suddenly turning every interaction into a boundary-setting ted talk. It means understanding that kindness and self-abandonment are not the same thing. You can care deeply about people and still say no. You can disappoint someone and not be the villain. You can change your mind without submitting a formal explanation. You can stop replying immediately, stop over-explaining your decisions, stop volunteering for things you secretly resent and (perhaps most revolutionary of all) let someone misunderstand you without sprinting after them to correct the record. There is a particular kind of confidence that comes from realizing you don’t need universal approval to trust your own choices. Not everyone is going to like you...especially when you have healthy boundaries...and that is OKAY!

That is honestly the real power move for this generation: becoming a woman who is deeply considerate without being endlessly available. A woman who knows her values, protects her time, speaks honestly and doesn’t confuse being liked with being respected. Your life cannot be built entirely around keeping other people comfortable, because eventually you’ll look around and realize you’ve designed a beautiful life that doesn’t actually feel like yours. The goal isn’t to stop caring...it’s to start including yourself in the equation. Because you are not difficult for having needs, dramatic for having standards or selfish for wanting a life that fits you. You are simply learning that your voice deserves to be in the room, too.

Finance Chic Series ✨💵

We're shifting over to a new main topic of my multiple part finance series. Over the next several weeks we'll be discussing and further breaking down "Saving Money". This week’s topic will focus on Emergency Fund Basics.

TOPIC #1 - SAVING MONEY: "EMERGENCY FUND BASICS" 📈📉✨

An emergency fund is essentially the financial equivalent of having a great little black dress in your closet: you hope you don’t need it unexpectedly, but when the moment comes, you’re very glad it’s there. The point isn’t to become a person who never spends money or lives in permanent budgeting mode. It’s to create a cushion between you and the kind of surprise expense that can turn a minor inconvenience into a full-blown crisis. A car repair, a medical bill, an unexpected move, a job change...sometimes life has a way of sending invoices you did not personally request.

And no, you don’t need to magically have six months of expenses sitting in an account by next week. Start where you are. Even $500 or $1,000 can create breathing room, and then you can gradually work toward a larger cushion that covers several months of essential expenses. Automate what you can, even if it’s a small amount every payday and keep the money somewhere separate from your everyday spending account so “I deserve a little treat” doesn’t accidentally become your emergency-fund withdrawal strategy. The goal is consistency, not financial perfection.

Saving money also gets a lot easier when you stop treating it as whatever happens to be left over at the end of the month. Give your money a destination before you spend it. Maybe you’re building a sinking fund for a vacation, setting aside money for holiday shopping, saving for a move or working toward a larger purchase. Breaking bigger goals into smaller monthly contributions makes them feel far more manageable and gives you a reason to pause before every impulse purchase. You don’t have to eliminate the fun stuff; you just want your spending to reflect what you actually value. There’s a difference between being restrictive with your money and being intentional with it and knowing that difference is a very underrated form of financial confidence.

Think of it as buying yourself options. Having savings means you can handle a surprise without immediately reaching for a credit card, panic-texting your parents or saying "Yes" to something you absolutely do not want because you can’t afford to say no. And honestly, there’s something very chic about financial independence. Just like fashion, the best investment pieces aren’t always the most exciting purchases in the moment...they’re the ones you’re grateful to have when you really need them. Your emergency fund may not be glamorous, but neither is being financially stressed. We’ll take the fund.✨💸👛

Podcast Highlight 🎙

I had to give you guys another podcast recommendation and this week is: "Lyss." I started listening to her at the beginning of the year and every single episode she puts out is a hit. I love hearing life perspectives from women in my same age range and just getting that extra boost of confidence and "I can do this" nudge that is much needed during the week. One of my fave episodes from her is the one titled "Your life should only make sense to YOU" from May 26th. Periodddd!

WELCOME TO LACHICCOUTURE'S INNER CIRCLE Hey Everyone! Welcome back to my newsletter 🗞 New Month, New Energy 💫. I feel like September is the sweet spot of the year where everything starts slowly shifting to a close. I've amped up my day to day routine and I feel absolutely fantastic. Increasing your water intake, walking, stretching, taking daily vitamins, sticking to a strict AM/PM beauty routine, going to bed at a decent time, etc., are all crucial steps that should not be overlooked. WELCOME TO LACHICCOUTURE'S INNER CIRCLE Hey Everyone! Welcome back to my newsletter 🗞 This past week I was reminded of the importance of family and support. My mom had a minor procedure and I was her primary "caretaker/PA" as she would say all last week (even though I don't know the first thing about medical processes 😂). I was truly able to appreciate our enclosed time together and being able to help HER significantly this time vs. her always being there for everyone else. One thing about...
