Ladies, let’s talk about the ultimate luxury accessory…and no, it’s not a designer handbag. It’s boundaries. Because a chic woman knows that being available 24/7 is not a personality trait...it’s a customer service position that we did NOT apply for. Welcome to your chic woman era...where you stop confusing being nice with being endlessly available. A boundary is simply saying things like "No, I can’t make it tonight.", "That doesn’t work for me." or "I need some time to myself." There should be absolutely NO shame in declining an invite somewhere or offering to help someone else when your own social battery is close to 0%. It brings back the excellent point of that saying: "You have to fill up your own cup first."
Think of boundaries like your favorite little black dress: timeless, elegant and everyone looks better when they have one. The most magnetic women aren’t the ones trying to please everyone in the room. They’re the ones who know their worth before anyone else has the chance to question it. Because babe… your energy is couture. Treat it that way!

Let me start off by saying that your girl has been single now for over a decade...but I have definitely still been able to observe and take mental notes of major green flags when I am ready to start dating again. The goal for me at this point in my life is a man who brings peace into my life, not confusion.
We always hear about red flags for guys...but what about the good ones out there? The right man isn’t just charming when everything is "easy" or still in the honeymoon phase...he’s consistent when life gets messy. He communicates without playing games, keeps his word without needing applause and makes you feel chosen/loved without making you feel like you're auditioning for a role...and mind you...this is the BARE minimum.
Here are some great qualities to look for the next time you get set up on a blind date, decide to say "Yes" to that guy that has been asking for your number, etc.:
Consistency Over Grand Gestures — His actions match his words.
Emotional Intelligence — He can communicate, apologize and grow.
Respect For Your Boundaries — He values your independence and individuality.
A Genuine Interest In Your World — He listens and remembers the little things.
Protective, Not controlling — He makes you feel safe, not restricted.
Accountability — He owns his mistakes instead of blaming everyone else.
Celebrates Your Success — Your achievements inspire him, not intimidate him.
Peaceful Energy — You feel secure, not like you’re solving a mystery.

Local Summer Eats (Houston, TX) - Hudson House 🍔🍝
As a professional foodie (it's truly the Taurus in me lol), I had to recommend a local summer eats spot here in Houston: Hudson House.
We actually have two different locations:
📍River Oaks - 1966 W Gray St
📍Rice Village - 2414 University Blvd, Suite 100
I've been to both and personally prefer the Rice Village location (only because it has more room for larger groups) but both are absolutely fabulous. From juicy lobster rolls to well seasoned burgers to hearty pasta...they literally have a taste of everything.
